Fictional Continent Contest

thats a bad idea since everyone will see it and possibly take ideas from it

Well, I’ve made a map and I have the first 38,000 years of history planned out :stuck_out_tongue:

The deadline has been extended to December 6th.

i’ll be joining this one i have the history of a whole continent named Jgargo from it’s creation to it’s end. I will not post the ending of it because that would be a massive spoiler. i also wont be saying any thing the Characters living on the continent wouldn’t know, but that still leaves 32,000 years of history left.
i going to wait until the last minute to post my continent.

You and me both :stuck_out_tongue:

That makes three.

I’ve drawn the thing.

I had completely forgotten about the history.

PANIC MODE!

So i just post it here okay.

I think it’s close enough to the last minute to post my continent now.

By the way drew from a hat to see which race of humans lived.

32,000-24,000 bc
The first real
recorded event in Jgargo’s history is the silent night war raged
about 32,000 years ago. At this time there were four races that had
been there for hundreds of thousands of years. While on the other
hand there were four races that had just recently appeared seemingly
out of nowhere. The old races where the Bio Elves, the Bio Dragons,
the Dagrow, and Kero Dagara. The young races where the Dwarves, the
Humans, the Nargacus, and the Steampunks.
As the Humans, the
Steampunks, the Nargacus, and the Dwarves grew in numbers and became
more and more advanced, the Bio Elves, the Dagrow, and the Bio
Dragons began to fear them.

The Bio Elves at first thought they would make great slaves but as time went on they
were the first to start to grow wary of these younger races.

The Dagrow were way more hostile to them to begin with; that’s really all we know
about their aggressiveness toward the younger races.

The Bio Dragons where the last to become aggressive and only toward the humans for
some strange reason.

The Kero Dagaras liked the company of the younger races and adopted them into their
nation which the other old races did not take kindly to.

On the night that would end up as Christmas eve the other old races attacked the Kero
Dagara Nation in The Razor Mountains. In the first two minutes of
this war the Bio Elves and the Dagrow nearly went extinct and fell
back to their homelands leaving the Bio Dragons and the Kero Dagara
to fight it out. At first it seemed the Bio Dragons were going to win
this fight but then the younger races jumped into the fight to help
their new found friends; who were so willing to lay down their lives
to defend them.

They formed an alliance called U.R.A (which lasted for nearly 14,000 years before it
fell about).

With the help of the younger races the Kero Dagara defeated the Bio Dragons. In the
end, after eight years of war the Bio Dragons fled back to their
homeland in the north.

The Kero Dagara and the Bio Dragons stayed aggressive towards each other for another
18,002 years. About a hundred conflicts between the U.R.A and the Old
Races occurred between 32,000 bc and 8,000 bc. We know almost nothing
about these wars except the Silent Night wars.

That is really all we no about this era of time but there is surly more to be
discovered.

16,000 bc

Sometime during this millennium the Bio Elves and Dagrow poisoned the
humans’ (and only the humans’) water supplies. This poison nearly
wiped Jgargo clean of humans, killing all the human sub races off
except for one. Instead of killing the human race known as the Jews
it mutated them and made them at least 8 times stronger, but also
making them appear more frightening. They developed a more reptile
look and started growing to eight feet in height.

As you can imagine the U.R.A was not too happy about the humans
nearly being wiped out. And this started another war around Christmas
so it was called The Second Silent Night War. The Bio Elfs and the
Dagrow never recovered from this war and started slowly dying out.

8,000 bc

This event is the reason for our lack of knowledge about our past “
The Cataclysm” as it is called is probably the most devastating war
fought in known history. 60 % of Jgargos population was killed within
a short timeframe and it seemed that the world was going to end.

The Bio Elves and the Dagrow could not recover from the Second Silent
Night War so they came up with a way to get back at the rest of the
world the best they could.

Around the turn of the century the Bio Elves and the Dagrow used a
biological weapon (they had been developing for some time) on
themselves. This turned them into giant deformed creatures now known
as The Blight (placeholder). We know that someone came up with a way
to fight The Blight but it went way wrong and ended up causing this
Cataclysm. Because of the destuction there is very little we know
about our past or even this event. By the way the Bio Elves and the
Dagrow are now extinct.

We do know that the U.R.A did not survive this war. Almost all the
the races that survived Cataclysm scattered to the far ends of
Jgargo and most did not get along with each other for another 8,032
years.

Spino Rose in power and conquered all of Jgargo and formed the
Shadowbreath empire. His empire is the evil one we all must live with
today. He has kept the peace by destroying anyone who challenged his
might. We dicided to stop fighting him and would just wait out until
he died of old age. But that’s the thing. Death never came for him,
it was almost as if he was immortal. He was living longer then even
the Bio Elves lived. For that matter no one even knows what he is.

So after eight hundred years he still rules all of Jgargo with a fist
of iron draining all life from this once beautiful land.

REDYTEN TRI
this is a very basic map of Jgargo.

Not sure if you’d like some geography as well, but here’s some history :stuck_out_tongue:

The History of Gaerra, as recorded by the scribe of Andrope, Akib, who gathered this legend from the tales of the known peoples.
After the gods created the world and formed man, the cries of man reached Mnesus, for chaos reigned and they did not govern themselves. So Mnesus found the most righteous among them, one Alulim of name, and made him king of the world and blessed him with the ability to judge wisely. So Alulim ruled justly for 38,000 years before passing kingship to Banda.
At that time men lived as one people. So Banda said to the assembly of the elders, “Let us build for ourselves a city where we may live and not be scattered across the earth.” The assembly thought this wise and the order went for all the people to gather and build a great city. Then Banda said, “Let us build a great wall around our city that we may not be devoured in the night by wild animals and have our livestock carried off.” So lumber was brought down and a great wall was built. Banda ruled for 31,000 years and spent his reign building before passing kingship to Sur.
At that time, the number of people grew. So Sur decreed, “Let the bravest men take our sons and daughters and plant colonies around the earth that there may be room for all of us.” So four men, Cor, Tasah, Cath, and Urk, left with many people to found colonies. The colonists named their city for their respective leader, and those cities still stand today.
At this time, men quarreled among themselves, and the domain of men had grown too large for one man to judge alone between them. So Sur prayed to the gods and Mnesus created a code of laws that all men would abide by. He handed them to Sur who made them the law of the land. Sur ruled justly for 34,000 years before passing kingship to Shul.
Shul saw that the city Banda had built was too small for all the men and their families. So Shul expanded the walls and had them built from stone. During this time a famine struck the land and the people appealed to the king for aid. He ordered that a fifth of the grain harvested be gathered for times of need, and it was so. But corrupt judges withheld grain for themselves, thinking that there would not be enough for all and that they may go hungry. When there was not enough grain because of their actions, the people rioted and the great city was upset for seven days and nights. Shul ruled with a shaky hand for 29,000 years before passing kingship to Rulz.
Rulz left the rule of his people to the judges appointed by his father, Shul, and spent the majority of his kingship in luxury, taking advantage of his people. The judges, without the guidance of a wise king, soon became corrupt and extorted what they could from their charges. The people cried out to Shul, but he refused to help. So Mnesus smote him with lightning and his body blew into smithereens. Shul ruled for 1,000 years before his death. The kingship was passed to Ulk.
Ulk did his best to undo what his predecessor had done, but the corruption of government was too much for him. The people began to grumble and riot against Ulk, and pandemonium filled the streets of the great city. At this time, the four colonies planted drove out the judges appointed over them and set up their own kings. Ulk’s advisors urged him to war and the great city forged many weapons before sallying out and attacking the city of Urk. The people of Urk were unable to defend themselves, for this was the first time men had killed each other, and there was a great slaughter, despite Ulk’s best attempts to restrain his soldiers. Urk was sacked and a deadly plague smote the great city, for the gods vowed to avenge the deaths at Urk. Ulk died in the plague after a rule of 2,000 years. The kingship was taken up by Palant.
At this time, plague ravaged the great city. Palant consulted the oracle who revealed to him that he must restore the city of Urk before the plague would be lifted. So Palant returned all the treasures of gold and silver that had been taken in the sack of Urk and promised any boon he could grant to the remaining people. The plague was lifted and the people of the great city began to turn to wicked deeds. Palant remained pious through this and never abandoned the worship of the gods. Because he kept their worship, Mnesus blessed Palant with a long reign. Palant ruled wisely for 20,000 years before passing kingship to Molck.
Molck forgot the worship of the gods and drove out the priests of Mnesus and imposed harsh tribute on the four cities. The great city became a place of wickedness and vice as its people were not hospitable, murdered their brother, stole from their neighbor, and gave themselves to drink. The evil of humanity was terrible in the sight of Mnesus, so he assembled the gods and they agreed to destroy the great city. After Molck had reigned 5,000 years, a crack of fire opened up in the center of the great city and shot brimstone into the sky. The ground cracked and the sea flooded in. The continents were separated by a mass of water and the great city was burned to the ground before being consumed by water. The island of Thera is the only remaining piece of land where the once great city stood. No man dares inhabit that place now, not even the great Achean mariners. So men separated across the earth, and the four cities lost contact with each other as the years passed.
