You know, it’s generally accepted that the Puppet was the one who began the whole animatronic thing (by stuffing kids in suits)… maybe he’s gone since the last building burned down, and without him the animatronics are going insane? That could be why they’re so nightmarish.

Makes sense. maybe that is why Plushtrap is a thing, he could be trying to control the animatronics.

Yeah. But that means this game would take place in '87… so…

Okay. Maybe the kid got this doll… the doll is haunted, and gives the kid nightmares (which explains the nightmare animatronics). Then, the doll bites off the kid’s frontal lobe. Sound good?

Or, I suppose he could have bitten of kid’s lobe first… and then that cause extreme nightmares.

Let’s take into account: “In the Purple Hat teaser we have the number 0871 and in the NFB teaser we have 2093.
If put 0871 one number forward you get 1982 and if you take 2093 and take it one number backwards you get 1982!” and that 1987 showed up in Nightmare Foxy’s eye after darkening the teaser.
Now we have plushtrap, which could only be a thing after the events of FNaF 3.

I think that all this supports the theory that FNaF 4 will take place in multiple locations throughout the game.
