Flowers For Algernon Tribute

Yes, I’m still alive.
I recently read Flowers for Algernon. Spectacular read. I highly recommend it to everyone.

The man looked down at his friend, pondering what he thought of him. For what he was, he was ingenious. Beneath his glossy, charcoal black eyes, was a brain of extraordinary intelligence. The friends made eye contact, and the man saw something as he gazed into them. He saw a sense of understanding, but he was unsure of what. Only after his friend was gone would he know the answer. Algernon, the brilliant mouse, understood this:

His mind was slowly dying.

I do hope you all like it. This is my first attempt at a portrait-esc drawing.
I plan on being more active now. School’s been keeping me busy. Hell, even this drawing is for school.
Anyway, take care and lemme know what you all think!

I read this book last year, it’s cool to see that other people on the boards have read it as well!

Definitely! What did you think of it?

It was a good book, if a bit boring at times.

I never read the whole book just the original story before it was turned into an entire book, good drawing though

I read the original short story in middle school. A spectacular read, and I appreciate that this story is getting some love here.

Oh man, it’s been a while since I read the book. It was an interesting read, despite the fact that we never covered it in school.
