Granted. The earth’s rotation slows, thus extending the day/night cycle. Temperatures and climates become more extreme due to parts of the earth being exposed/facing away from the sun for longer periods of time. Also, due to the fact that the earth’s rotation has slowed, the magnetic field around the planet is weakened greatly, thus greatly increasing the risk of the planet being exposed to harmful solar radiation.
