[ENTRY IMAGE] A decade ago, I first read the final battle in The Many Deaths of Toa Tuyet. Even after all this time, I can quite clearly recall the image of her conjured by this sentence, which took place immediately after she watches Lhikan find the Nui Stone in her quarters. “Tuyet rose. To her credit, she didn't seem nervous or taken aback. She was colder than most Ice Toa Lhikan had known, he had to give her that.” I imagined her slowly standing up, casting a massive shadow across the room. Unlimbering her jagged arms, she completely dwarfed Lhikan. For my Tuyet, I did my best to recreate that same feeling of dread I felt one decade ago. [TMDOTT] I’m happy to say that I achieved it.
