Originally the Guitarist for Blur, Graham Coxon later split off from the band in 2003, only to return 6 years later. However, while he was away he made his own music, and it’s some of the best I’ve ever heard.
He has a lot of great songs, like Freakin’ Out, In The Morning, What’s He Got, Oochy Woochy, Running for Your Life, Locked Doors, Mountain of Regret, and I could go on and on.
I’d have to say he’s my favorite solo music artist, and he actually has an upcoming album releasing sometime in the future, although it was recorded in 2011.
He’s also a painter, and painted not only the cover of Blur’s 6th album, but the covers of all of his solo albums.
