This was my entry to LEGO Ideas’ 90 Years of Play Bionicle contest.
It was based off an unbuilt idea to make mythic interpretations of the Great Beings representing the Three Virtues and various LEGO themes and utilizing a variety of types of LEGO parts.
I ended up condensing that vision into a single figure meant to represent LEGO in general using the colors from the logo. The only unusual parts I was able to include were the Furno XL cape and a Dots bracelet with a Three Virtues symbol.
The cape does all the work of covering the back.
I texture-blocked portions of the build to be system brick style, smooth constraction, and “classic Bionicle”.
In the quick lore I threw together, legend has this Great Being as the father of Mata Nui and Makuta, harmonizing their qualities of creation and destruction (he has stones in their colors on his forearms), who left the Matoran world in his sons’ care to create and prune throughout the cosmos.
