For the legends foretold, of a dragon of old to scourge the lands of Albion. To take all their treasure, and to kill for good measure, until slain by a mighty champion.
Gromherjek was the child of a green and a red dragon. His mother, Gromhaja, was appalled to see that he ate his egg sibling when he was hatched. She called him “Kin-Eater” and removed him from her nest, fearing the safety of her other wyrmlings. Thus the wyrmling Gromherjek had to face the terrible wilds of the world so young, and became cold hearted and cruel.
As he grew older, he fended off warriors and adventurers who tried to kill him, developing his own horde of treasure. He would evidently find a bride, a dragonness named Klanwen, and started his own family. But as he was away hunting one day, a group of Albion knights slew his bride and wyrmlings and stole his treasure. He was left with nothing, and grew in vengeance. He swore to consume Albion in anger, and thus employed the raiders of the Danelands to march against Albion.
For the legends foretold, 6 of a dragon of old 6 to scourge the lands of Albion. 8 To take all their treasure, 6 and to kill for good measure, 6 until slain by a mighty champion. 10
8 and 10 really should be 9 and 9 to help it roll off the tongue smoother. What? There’s artwork and this isn’t just about a poem and Ghid you need to calm down the accident wasn’t your fault?
Something about the eye is off-putting. Might be a little too big, but I’m not certain. The way the right hind foot is curled as it is raised off the ground is an excellent level of detail showing you know how the mechanics of a foot of that nature operate, but there’s one small issue in that Gromherjek is about to fall over, as he’s standing on both left limbs and neither of his right ones. Maybe he’s been studying camels or something.
Overall, happy to see your art return to the boards. It’s been too long since the last Cronk drawing, and you need to remedy this man, I’ve had to resort to looking up stock image clipart to fill the void and it isn’t working.
