“Daylight…” Jasper said, panting heavily from a close encounter with a Sangheili, which Butch currently stood over, blasting it to bits with his Shotgun. “Dark Star is receiving Drone support… We should be fired up and ready to go soon.” Jasper said.

“Gotcha, Da- Jasper.” Sky said, blushing at how she almost regarded him as her father. He didn’t respond.

“Doctor Stalvern, what is this?” Stanley asked as the man stood looking out to the FTC Trityra.

“Hephaestus program. We’re gonna make heroes… I’m sure it’ll make my wife and kids proud.” He said, smiling.

“You do know how they are gonna make them, right?” Jasper asked.

“Yeah, augment some younger people at around 16 or 18 years of age.”

“They want to kidnap and start training at 7, 8, or 9, Doctor.” Stanley said.

“You’re lying.” Stalvern said.

“No, I’m not.” Jasper said, watching Stalvern’s face turn to that of horror.

“Jasper!” Sky repeated.

“Y-yes, Commander Stalvern, you’re good to relax for a bit, we need to better equip the Dark Star before our next operation.” Jasper said.
