Has Bionicle had a negative/odd impact on anyone?

Lost a lot of money on them :T

Bionicle caused the ‘Canon War’

To this day… No one knows what is and what is not canon…

It sparked the Love Rebellion, one that shouldnt have even exist because love should always be part of any story.

It caused mass amounts of peoples’ childhoods to be destroyed when the line was rebooted.

It ruined any chance I had at a regular social life, and I continue to widen this gap by buying ever more sets. So… I just hang out here.

It also occasionally attacks my feet at night if I do not pick up any stray pieces. Ouch.

Is it because liking constructable action figures makes us self-conscious, or is it because we spend so much of our time building/discussing them? Or both?

My ex-girlfriends never got Bionicle… I really have a hard time finding (anyone) who likes it. Bionicle has changed me as a person (for the better), forced me to think about right and wrong in new ways, and dared me to be brave. I can’t really connect on a deep level with anyone who doesn’t like it. So I guess Bionicle has ended any chance for me and romance, but eh, I’m young still. It’s not gonna bother me for a while.

Besides, Love isn’t canon, right?

The only ‘negative’ is that I’m more stuck to the Internet than before.

While not extremely negative, I had a situation yesterday. I was trying to say something about the Gladiators (the ancient Roman sportspeople)… but it came out as “Glatorians”.
