Has Bionicle had a negative/odd impact on anyone?

This is a really obscure and “out-there” question, but really: Has Bionicle had a negative or odd impact on anyone’s lives to a certain extent?
If not at all, then just post some instances where things may not have gone right due to it’s influence, and no, I’m not talking about “Oh, Bionicle made me spend all of my money a couple of times when I really needed it” (although, has that actually happened to anyone? XD).
Oh, and this isn’t meant to single people out, its just an honest discussion question.

In “Brick by Brick: How LEGO Rewrote the Rules of Innovation and Conquered the Global Toy Industry,” the codename of the type of child they were marketing BIONICLE toys towards was first called “Bully Bob” and then “Bionicle Boy.” So really, if you’re a BIONICLE fan, you’re a bully. Simple :stuck_out_tongue:

yes

bionicle killed my family

(Ok, not really, obviously but it’s still awkward to tell people I like a discontinued line of buildable LEGO action figures and that I’m part of a group on YouTube that discusses that sort of thing. But I’m also appreciated for it on YouTube so it kinda balances out. :stuck_out_tongue: )

That’s what I was thinking about when writing this up. Not necessarily a bad thing, just odd.

And the world knew a new kind of suffering and pain…

Most likely resulting in murderous rampage for most people.

Oh yeah, I pumped Sarin into lego’s headquarters in Denmark in revenge for the end of bionicle!

Seriously though, I guess I don’t really have school friends over to my house in fear that they would react negatively to the Bionicle dominated Lego cave that is my bedroom.

Postivies: Gave me something to do. Became apart of a wonderful community. And those two reasons generalize almost every reason why I love Bionicle.

Negative: I don’t have enough money to buy them all!

Pretty much Vipers answer, but also that I went on a crazy shopping spree and bought a bunch and when I mean a bunch I mean a BUNCH of bionicle sets and/or parts in march, resulting in over hundreds of euros of loss, but a lot of victory as a collector/mocist.

Bionicle created Irnakk, leading to MesoXIrnakk, which is possibly the worst thing ever…
