No, that’s just confirmation bias.
I don’t understand why tho, can you explain?
Because it doesn’t provide any causal evidence that the votes were fairly culled, it rather provides circumstantial evidence. If it were entirely fair this could be an outcome, but it is also possible that this is an outcome without it (people not logging back in after voting, their accounts being deleted, moderators culling discussion, etc) among other reasons. The only way that we can get evidence that it was fair is to be able to see the criteria and walk it back ourselves. Otherwise, it’s just trust, which, coming from a different bionicle community, I don’t have in the mods here.
Logical, but why would they need to manipulate the results?
I’m not saying they needed to, I’m saying that I would like for them to prove they didn’t as many of them were clearly against the one that had the most votes. If they truly cleared votes fairly, there should be no consequence to providing the objective criteria other than allaying fears of poll manipulation. I cannot think of a reason not to provide said criteria if it were a genuine and fair act, making me suspect that it was not genuine and fair.
The only one stated is that the account is run in the same email. The others are not stated because that could allow cheaters to work around their system.
And besides that, you don’t need to know. No one single user on this forum besides the staff is entitled to know the parameters.
TTV is in charge of this contest, not you, not anyone else. You want to do things your way? Start your own message boards and run them good enough to garner enough attention to get Greg to authorize canon contests on it.
Now that’s a fair compromise imo, clear but without mentioning the real people
If I owned a site you participated on and gave you set of rules, and you didn’t like what those rules were limiting, you would find every and any way possible to go around the rules. If my site began banning accounts with the same e-mail, you could use your phone number instead. Still a duplicate account, but not against the stated rules I put in place, meaning I’d have to change them or let people cheat my system using loopholes.
If I kept my rules ambiguous, you wouldn’t know what you’d have to do to cheat them. And on a site I own, I think it’s better to deal with suspicion and accusation than outright manipulation and deception that I wouldn’t even be able to control.
This still has me feeling some very special emotions (in the best way possible.)
god bless this MOC
Well…
That was one heck of a mess

Where are they now? I can only sift through the remains of this after party and wonder.
I would love to tell what happened to them, but that is something very secretly stuff that you might not know.
