I have just catalogued every single horse maneuver in this entire topic. You’d be surprised how many times a third maneuver was added, or people claimed a horse died despite going in both directions, or didn’t accurately state a direction for the horse to go in.
In the rankings I counted every time a horse took a step in a given direction, and then again in either the same direction or its opposite. I counted directions not included in the original topic post, like up/down or mentions of right and left in portions of a given post not necessarily correlating to the horse’s movement (“the right choice” was fairly common). Add a plus or minus 5 to either score if you’d like to make up for any errors I may have made along the way and been unaware of.

Now, i know this type of discussion isn’t typically allowed on the boards, but hear me out: this horse was very political. But not in the way you think! See, this horse was heavily involved in the political party of “horses that scratch each other’s back from the right” which for years was at odds with “horses that scratch each other’s backs from the left”. Many horses, of course, had a preference but were willing to accomodate the other side, or were neutral, but this horse was very right-hoof. So much so that he even had a habit of raising his head to the right, to show his support for the “horses that scratch each other’s back from the right” party.
And as you know, a horse goes where its head goes, so he goes right again, not even realizing…

The horse stood there for nine hours as minethuselah plead its case in tears, hoping the hunter would spare it. It seemed to be working, she hadn’t fired a shot yet. Normally she would have fired just as the speech started. Maybe, at last, something had gotten through to her. Maybe her heart grew three sizes that day. It was a Christmas miracle.
At last, Miney thinks its safe, and begins to lead the horse home.
The horse steps left.
