Yes it would but they could give some bulk to one of the sides to make it look like a hand(because it is too slim it could look tiny on a set if they would use it as a hand)but not too much so that it can be used for different things too.

A static midget leg piece with a single swivel? 
Something of similar aesthetic would be nice; pin holes in the place of greebles would offer a nice look as well as functionality
