That might help. Thanks for the suggestion
you know you could just get a couple squids and wait for them to reproduce
The average gestation period for squids is three years and InkTober ends in a month so I’m afraid extinction-level events are necessary for such a short period of time
Man I’d hate to be the FBI agent watching me search gestation period of a squid
I too, looked up the gestation period of a squid.
But then my father had to go find his recipe for mashed potatoes
There was no recipe.
Also I have to confess …
I didn’t draw Ghid for the second prompt
I did include a super obscure Ghid easter egg though
eh
must’ve missed that
sometimes this is more powerful than direct ghid art
So to clarify, the most official way to do it is to draw on paper and with a ink pen and no colour?
That’s what most people do.
The most official way to do it is to cause a genocide of squid and use a high-pressure blasting tool filled with the squid ink to carve your art into solid stone and then to use that stone as the base for a mausoleum to house the squid you just massacred
but then you’d be copying me
For the percentage of this index card that is fully inked, I should, in retrospect, have probably done something less … intense. Maybe a cross-hatch.
also here’s my day 2 entry
find Ghid. find salvation.
edit: almost forgot to blur out my signature
Done first 2, it’s fun although there is always so many possibilities for such prompts. I was really tempted to do it digital but I suppose the point is to work with limits.

Working on Vessel now…was going to do a ship but I just remembered a certain TOP album…
YO
YO
…
you are a much better artist than me.
heck yeah, I had the exact same train of thought.
^ fact I did not know or consider
i’m not like other people
Okay here is day 3 “Vessel”
I know I am “behind” but I can catch up and I’m happy that I have at least being drawing each day.
Not sure if the references are a bit far fetched but eh.
Am a bit stuck on “Knot” though.
Yeah I had thought of a boat mooring being the knot, that does help.
My crit would be that a clear horizon via a single pen line would be nice.
Edit: btw did the Twenty One Pilots references make sense you reckon?
Also could I see your vessel one if it is okay?
Yeah, I’m deliberating whether to add that in. I was experimenting with leaving it out, and while it didn’t turn out greeeaaat I feel like leaving it as it is is a good lesson/reminder.
They made sense to me. It’s a really neat perspective with the ship itself as well…
“okay” as in I’m comfortable sharing? Yeah.
“okay” as in it’s a good piece? ehh
EDIT
update:
always follow Axelford’s advice in art
Also here’s my one for today. I actually did two, but I didn’t like the other
And this is the song that was playing while I was drawing it, and now it’s inextricable connected to the piece.
