Interdimensional Time Traveling Tarakava (FINISHED)

Well it turned out that I needed alot more parts than I thought made the whole back armored. I made the feet like this so they would be alot more stable

(WIP) Origional post:

I’m doing a re-imaginening of tarakava

the head and upper body are pretty much final ( the head atleast).
I’m modeling it after a mantis wich looks alot more like a tarakava than a lizard.

I’m not really sure if the scale that I’m making him at is good. his arms are tiny compared to what the body is going to be. the arms have a slash/grab function and a punch function in one. this function is how this moc started and it’s gonna stay, however I might try to enlarge the arms(right arms isn’t complete at all) so they better fit the body. might also try to give them more posability.

I’m very happy with this head because it looks like a mantis head and it also has the mask function. punch it’s “tongue” to pop off the mask. now before people point it out yes he indeed has 4 eyes. But FYI a mantis has 5 (: .

blue is whats done atm. red is what I still wanna make

I wouldn’t really call it a Tarakava; I just don’t get dat vibe.

Definitely less lizard-like and more mantis-like. Don’t get me wrong, I like the manits-esque look, but the tarakava were supposed to be more reptillian in nature.

I really like the torso design. May I ask how posable the MOC is?

someone didn’t read the post…

This is actually really cool! It needs some fleshing out, but then again, it IS a WIP. I like that you turned the Tarakava into a mantis. It never seemed to be very lizard-like to me.

It had tank treads for legs.

It doesn’t get much less lizard than tank legs.

I think it needs some bulk or at least something to fill in those holes.

I got to admit this is great!
But the blue pins on the legs are exposed.

standard leg and neck motion I’m thinking of making the abdomen posable because that won’t have to hold a lot of weight unlike the upper body wich has to be strong to be stable

Its amazing. Odd that the Tarakava could be represented as a mantis much better than it was when represented as a lizard.
I always thought it was a Gorilla way back when. (When I was still a GUY)

EDIT: OMG WHAT.
I wrote Girl instead of Guy there Im crazy.
JUST NOTICED
