Javahri, Sky Serpent

An oddity even for Okoto’s strange wildlife, the Javahri are fast, intelligent, and dangerous. It’s six insect like wings allow it to maneuver at lightning speeds, but curiously, it appears to fly with some manner of levitation rather than actual lift. Their most notable trait is the natural ability to suppress elemental powers. Okotan or Protector masks stop working when one is nearby, making them a menace to travelers and warriors. Toa will find themselves cut off from their power until the creature leaves.

This ability seems to have evolved primarily to hunt the equally strange Varendi, whose source of flight ceases to function near the Javahri. Despite the frightening appearance, the Javahri typically avoid Okotans, and most other animals.

A number of bootleg joints were used here, bought from ziontyro

The creature does not photograph especially well in the light box so I had to use the carpet.

It was nice to finally have a use for all those transparent/gold crystal parts. They look nice and feathery.

The Javahri is beautiful! While I’m normally not a fan of custom parts, they work splendidly here. In addition, I like the way you blended G1 and G2 parts in a way that feels natural and flows just as naturally. The color scheme is also stunning; the gold and red together make me think of a monarch, which only adds to its striking visage.

Is that the red-eyed yellow worm-creature? If so, it looks really intriguing, and I’d love to see more of it.

Thank you! The person who gave me the idea for the creature actually had a snake with butterfly wings in mind.

I have started using injection molded custom parts here and there, especially as hero factory joints have started to crack and die. Plus the color matching is good. I don’t go too crazy with them.

Varendi

An enigmatic creature that peacefully drifts with currents, both in the water, and in the air. They are a rare sight outside of the waters of Ga-koto, though they seem to be drawn to the heat from volcanic activity, sometimes seen floating over the fiery mountains in Ta-koto. Despite their bizarre appearance they are absolutely harmless, drifting lazily and filter feeding for nutrients. They are preyed on by other wildlife but are difficult to catch, able to put on bursts of incredible speed when threatened.

It uses a flexible bar to connect a string of hero factory shells. It’s essentially a doodle I made out of parts after making the head.

A little yellow clip arm holds the body up under the shell.
