Jayaatu is a soldier for the fire district of New Atero who typically stands guard at the entrance or mans the watchtower. He is close friends with Malum and every once in a while will rendezvous with him in secret, allowing Malum to walk up to the gates of New Atero even though he is strictly forbidden from being in close proximity to the city.
