Kolhii on Metru Nui?

I’m reading through Mystery of Metru Nui, and I’ve noticed a few mentions of Kolhii. Vhisola states that she spends time at the Kolhii practice field, Ehrye mentions playing it with Ahkmou, and Kapura finds a bent Kolhii stick in Ta-Metru. What form did Kolhii take in Metru Nui, since Kolhii as we know it was invented on Mata Nui, and only used sticks after the Bohrok swarms?

Kohlii Staff in Metru Nui

It was just a stand-in for Akilini. Originally, Akilini was planned to be a form of Kolhii and to use the same name, but the story team later changed it to be a different sport. By the time this took effect, however, Mystery of Metru Nui had already been written, and as such it referenced Kolhii multiple times in the book.
