Recently I’ve been lurking around the canon contest discussion and Lariska’s been quite a hot topic over there. So I figured I would get my own one ready while waiting for some news on the Hagah contest.
I made this moc with replicability in mind, so every part is available in the colours shown. As such, I went for an early-2000s aesthetic since that’s when all the teal parts came from.
Being the function freak that I am, I figured Lariska’s mechanical arm would be a good place to add a function. Pulling the lever causes the blade to lunge forwards (pretend there are rubber bands connecting the towballs).
It looks good, but I think they’re a few ways that it can be improved.
I’d change the lower leg armor. I suggest using slizer heads, instead
The mechanical arm looks good (plus the function’s a nice touch), but I think that you should make it grey/silver, to make it look more like a prosthetic. Right now, both arms look equally mechanical, at least to my eyes
Overall, I like it though. The three blades in her hand, and her torso look cool, and I appreciate the purism and asymmetry. Good luck!
I’ve tried using the slizer heads but they don’t seem to fit. The right arm should be a fairly simple fix and the left is just a colour swap, so I should easily be able to do that.
Update: I’ve made some minor changes to the moc. I’ve altered the right upper arm to make it slightly longer and the shoulder less hunched, and changed the colour scheme of the left arm.
