LEGO Army-Building Sets

The problem with that is that it eliminates play value, and also it wouldn’t sell as well as sets with main characters, so it Lego won’t put as much money into as you want. Something Similar to the Star Wars battlepacks would probably be what we get, if we do get something.

What your saying is that you want large vehicle sets or just vehicle sets in general that are mass produced in the story and contain generic nameless figures, more then what it would take to man the vehicle.

I know many people, including myself have wanted that for a long time, but asides from battle packs and figure packs, Lego has a nasty tendency to fill a generic vehicle set with multiple named characters in order to entice kids to buy them.

no, no it doesn’t in fact it can do the opposite. When I was a kid, when ever I would get a clone wars set that was meant for generic clones to man and instead i only got one and rest of the positions to be filled by the jedi included in the set, it just made me feel ripped off.

No, I was talking about no enemies being in the set.

I can agree with this.

Bricklink is the place to go for bulk orders.

Except they’re marketing this to kids who can’t buy every set to have two minifigs to fight each other.

Tbh a set with such large vehicles and figures would be crazy expensive. Army builders right now may not have as interesting vehicles or great amount of minifigs, but they are cheap. The thing is as others have mentioned army building takes a lot of money, but some can opt for a smaller army, making such sets will make it even more expensive.

I’m sorry if I didn’t understand your point, but from what I read this is what I supposed you meant.

the main reason i wanted a LEGO Battles sub-theme, is because i see it as the best way to bring back Chima, that and there would be no need for a new story, the army building sets would just be based on the stories that have allready been used.

Bringing back Chima is super unlikely, even more so than these army builders. I mean making army builder Chima sets would be a bad move, since now the line has no marketing and is mostly ignored nowadays.

Chances for LEGO making army sets as you mentioned are already low, closest thing we have gotten is the new Hoth Base, but making them out of an already dead line is not likely.

Look, Lego isn’t going to bring back a theme anytime soon if they don’t think they can make money from it.

Which upset many people, so they may want to be careful with that.

I happen to love warhammer, but they are pretty different in that warhammer is based around building an army, and mostly (if not exclusively) that.
Lego is a toy where armies aren’t priority #1.

Most of these you get with the Bionicle 2015 sets, but you can easily get more of these and change the legs up a bit.
