Wait what
And it was based on a fan model, too.
You say this as if this were a low-effort, last-minute addition to an existing set, but… this was the entire point of the set. Lego made a Box Of Bricks set, and chose to honour past themes for the 90th Anniversary by basing the inspirational models off of past sets. Bionicle was one of the themes they chose to honour by making a small version of an iconic set.
It’s not like this was marketed as “the return of Bionicle”, or was somehow supposed to revive widespread interest in Bionicle.
I’m not sure if that’s “official” representation. Tiny Tahu is the first time since G2 that Lego said “Hey, this is A Bionicle Thing, made from our Bionicle IP”.

just to make him hard to get
I made him in fifteen minutes with my own pieces
Yeah, we WISH “just to make it hard to get” was the actual reason, as that would imply Lego higher-ups percieve it as something of great value and demand. Alas, that is not the case.

And it was based on a fan model, too.
How do you know?

How do you know?
there’s a topic somewhere about it
Could you link it? I am interested.
here ya go
So I watched the New Podcast Highlight and noticed something, they show the mask of ultimate power on a Sticker, but it’s not the mask of ultimate power, it’s a fan version, clearly. [image] [image] [image] I don’t know why this is, maybe lego didn’t want to actually use their design (for some reason), or, the designers for this set looked it up (seeing as it’s one of the first results) and thought it was the official design (which looks like this); [image] [image] Should we contact the creator about this? He might want to know that his design is being used.
