LEGO Kamen Rider Faiz Autovajin

After making Fourze and Drive MOCs, I chose to go for something from Faiz next. I wasn’t quite sure what to make at first, but @MetaRayMills gave me the Smart-Brained idea to make Autovajin, Takumi’s trusty transformer bike buddy.

Admittedly, compared to my two previous MOCs, Autovajin isn’t quite as screen-accurate or even sturdy. The Smart Brain logos are obviously absent and some minor details are also not present. But considering the scale I went for and some of the features, I’d say it’s justified.

For the record, that box on the back is supposed to be the Faiz Gear suitcase, but at this scale, it doesn’t have the logo or a way to open. Also, the pair of handlebars at the bottom represents a kickstand.

Similarly to Tridoron, I made a Takumi minifigure to ride it. Clearly, Autovajin isn’t minifig scale, since it’s 3 times the size of an average bike and poor Takumi can’t even hold on to the handlebars, but at least the studs underneath his feet allow him to stand in it, so that’s good enough I suppose.

Unlike Tridoron, Autovajin can transform. Again, this sacrifices some of the look of the MOC, but the end justifies the means.

To begin the transformation, you move the back wheel closer to the center, completely remove the kickstand, and turn the back wheel sideways.

Then, the back of the bike becomes the legs.

After that, the front section splits open, revealing the arms and blaster/shield/wheel thing.

What’s left of the front section folds out towards the right and becomes a shoulder pad.

And there you have it: Autovajin in his robot mode. The kickstand is kinda left separate, but there are several spots where you can store it.

I personally prefer to leave the kickstand on its shoulder pad in robot mode, as it serves as extra armor while hiding it behind the shoulder. As far as articulation goes, there isn’t too much. The knees bend, the legs can go up and down, the head goes up and down, the hands can swivel a full 360 degrees, there is a bend at the elbow thanks to the Mixel joints, the shoulders have a bunch of articulation, but the shoulder pad limits movement a little. It doesn’t fall over as much as one might think, but this MOC isn’t exactly perfect either.

Here is a size comparison with Takumi and the Faiz Gear.

And lastly, here are all three of my Kamen Rider MOCs side by side. I do plan to make more, maybe one every couple of weeks, and eventually have something from each Heisei season.

The robot mode is a bit inacurrate, but the motorcycle mode is awesome!

Thanks! And yeah, I probably could have changed a thing or two, but there’s not a lot I could do without significantly changing or outright getting rid of one of its modes.

Looks cool

Well done, better than the last one, and the transformation seems solid.
