Lego Minecraft: The Cave in Minecraft

The idea of recreating minecraft sets in minecraft started from the wither battle I got this year, but I figure I’d start from the beginning of the minifig scaled sets.
Here is the Lego Minecraft set 21113: The Cave, recreated in Minecraft

It ends up being 9 blocks (+ torch + 1 block for the water and lava pools) tall, 1 block taller than the model would be (12 bricks x 3 plates/brick + 4 plates = 40 plates, 40 plates x 1 block/5 plates = 8 blocks)

And the alt model from the end of the instructions:

Welcome back, @Biodude15!

I often see people recreate Minecraft structures in LEGO, so why not the opposite way around! It is cool seeing the side-by-side of the set and build, with the bricks corresponding to the blocks in Minecraft. I like how you got the mobs in the right positions too, contributing to an even more accurate build. Good build!

The Cave was my first Minecraft set so I am required to like this post

Been a while

Remaking the sets was something I’ve always considered doing, but always found myself too lazy to actually do. Nice to see someone’s undertaken the concept.

I like how you even included the bucket on the ground.

That’s so cool!

(Also, welcome back to the Boards!)

It looks just like the set

Looks great, though is there anything that could be used to represent the dark gray plates?

The combination of light and dark bluish grey did make me question what material it represents. However 1 plate would be something like carpet in terms of thickness, and given the context of the set, I don’t think it would make sense. I believe the cave is homogenous stone and lego added the darker plates for color to make it more visually interesting

I quite like this, reminds me of a video Grian once made. You’ve done a pretty good job of translating the set, I know the Minecraft Lego sets can get a little odd with the geometry.
