Except for being decepticons I don’t really have a story for them yet. Both are based on rid 2015 decepticons with beastial robot modes. Either that or kinda like the g1 monsterbots.

Yeah. These guys are the legs of the six member team.
Omega_tahu; it depends though at smaller scale I’ve found you can get more posability when combined and less kibble to get in the way.
I once tried to make Defensor around minifg scale, then gave up because it’s tough. Is it easier to build at a smaller scale?
