So, I built this a few weeks ago, and I’m only getting around to posting it now. Anyways, I’m just gonna get right into this, because I’m super proud of this.
So, in robot mode, he is pretty much just G1 Megatron. I made sure to give him the red highlights and the flat chest. He’s also pretty posable. Swivel at the head, weird shoulders, hinge at the elbow, hinge and swivel at the wrist, and a ball joint at the hip and leg. Anyways, like I said, I’m very proud of this, but I’m even more proud of the gun mode.
The transformation is kinda complicated and a bit frustrating, but I think it’s all worth it because this gun mode turned out really well. It is a bit gappy, but I can overlook it. It actually feels really good to hold, too. But, that’s not all, because I included his accessories, too!
Yes, I made the stock and silencer, because let’s be honest. It’s not Megatron without them.
Anyways, I know I said this a lot, but I am really proud of this. And be sure to keep your eyes out, because I have a Soundwave ready to be posted and a Shockwave that I’m in the middle of working on. Anyways, let me know what you guys think. C&C is very much appreciated.
The blockiness of LEGO lends itself well to G1 Transformers, and this is no exception. The gun is a little gappy, but I love his accessories. Great MOC!
I find it interesting that you didn’t use the arm-cannon from his robot form for the barrel of the gun-form. It’s not a complaint, because both forms look awesome regardless, it’s just different than I would’ve approached it.
Really? Typically, for G1 Megatron, the fusion canon form the scope. The fusion canon only forms the barrel on G1 inspired tank Megatrons, from my experience
Oh, okay. I’m not all that familiar with Transformers lore; it just seemed logical to me that both forms would use the same component for their weapon. Now I know.
