Hi everyone! My next little entry in my BIONICLE25 revamp project is my take on a Rahi that was never produced as a set, but for fans of the MNOG, is quite memorable nonetheless: the troublesome Lightning Bug! Onua used this Rahi (as a projectile) to liberate Lewa from his infected Kanohi, payback for the Rahi zapping the captured denizens of Le-Koro. I don’t have too much to say about this little guy, other than that I love working with pearl sand blue, and sorely wish LEGO had produced more elements in this gorgeous color.

Awww! It’s super cute! I like the use of metallic blue pieces; it’s a severely underused color for how good it looks.

Love that color. Also great work on using some more modern parts while still maintaining an early G1 aesthetic. Great stuff.

@TheMOCingbird Thanks a lot! I love the G1 aesthetic, but I see no reason as to why modern parts can’t meld with it, too. I love building models that have parts varying in age by 20 years or more.

I love this MOC! It is so unique and eye-catching with the colors. Again, like your Matoran Nui, this is the first time I’ve seen someone revamp this character! Great work.

@Racie02 I agree, but ironically, what I was envisioning is that Onua is about 5 seconds from yeeting the bug directly at Lewa!

It was a happy day for Onua. He had spent all day snuggling with his pet Lightning Bug, and now he was sitting with it on a nice beige hill, peaceful and relaxed.
But his relaxation was not to last. Onua’s brother, Lewa, was jealous of the attention Onua had given his pet and betrayed him.
And so, to Onua’s abject horror, Lewa prepared to strike…
