Hi everyone!
While not a set from 2001, my next entry in my BIONICLE 2001 revamp series is taken from the MNOG with a Mahi (then known as Maha) and its shepherd, based on one of the several nameless Po-Matoran shown in the game.
I won’t pretend this model is incredibly innovative in any way, but I do like how it came together. I was inspired to build the Mahi when I happened upon a seller offering four of those small, tan CCBS shells at a reasonable price, and the rest of the goat came together quickly. I added in a bit of silver and grey to the tan and dark bluish grey to give it more of an earthen, mountain goat coloring scheme.
The shepherd, (based on this guy: https://biosector01.com/w/images/bs01/a/a2/MNOA_Koli_Athlete.svg) was very fun to build, and I really like how he looks. He’s probably my favorite Matoran design I’ve done thus far after my take on Jaller. Yes, there are some third-party bricks used.
Hope you like them! Just be careful if investing in Mahi, the market has really bottomed out.
