Makuta Absorbing Powers.

I have been wondering what are some other people’s opinions about Makuta absorbing powers via their shadow hands. I am not asking if it is canon or not since Greg has given answers that some say yes and some say no and even then some things don’t fit the story such as The Kingdom Teridax absorbing knowledge with his shadow hand despite Greg saying they can only absorb physical things. Though if they can absorb knowledge I believe it is reasonable to believe they can absorb powers as well.

I know Makuta have more than enough powers already but considering the drawbacks of a shadow hand even if the Makuta successfully absorbs somebody it can still be dangerous I say they are not that overpowered with the possibility of gaining new powers especially since most powers aren’t as versatile as the ones they already have.

Another reason they wouldn’t be too overpowered is if if you include some limits Greg has said about this subject such as being unable to absorb Kanohi powers, absorbing a Makuta will not increase the powers that they already have, and judging by the fact many things with copying powers can not imitate rhotuka powers along with Makuta destroying the consciousness of their shadow hands victims as well as converting them into antidermis and protosteel they probably can’t gain rhotuka powers either so them absorbing powers is not as limitless as it is implied.

So after these facts what do you think of Makuta absorbing powers with their shadow hands?

I think it’s kinda dumb.

It was invented solely for the LoMN movie to have a very goofy final boss battle and that’s it; the wider implications of shadow hand usage are all very stupid and poor Greg made the most with the hand he was dealt, but it is what it is.
