"Makuta Building Contest" W.I.P.s and Finished Creations Topic

Hey…that’s a cool build…I would suggest smaller and more sleek feet and hands…tbh my Makuta’s looks will be based on Gul’dan, complete with staff and robes + hood. IT IS tied to how I imagine Makuta. Instead of powerful on sight - he seems like a weak old man, yet few forces can recon with his powers.

Pls donut steel.

I’m exited to see it!

the Kakama looks awful, i think the akaku fit well .

someone have an idea for a mask? any color? :slight_smile:

Do you have the Kraakan?

I think you should use the panelled one and add a few spikes…should go well with the torso.

I’ll try it out, as soon as I’m by my Makuta again.

I’d think that he would put it on a staff or chain, since the mask of ultimate control is far more powerful. or even the mask of shadows

I’m not by mine for another 3 days…Bulgaria is far from my bricks…I also had this Idea that his robes could change into wings and his cane into a scythe alternatively.

I guess that i’ll begin building mine as soon as my bricklink order of 30 some ball joints and mata hands comes in

Now that I think of it. I think I should re-do my Makuta. Anybody else agree.

Separate you’re parts first, I guarantee it will really help you.

@ComradeWolfie Any updates?

no… Israel isn’t a easy place to find cheap masks… and i am only 13 so online buying is a limited option

I will have to call Bricklink for help alongside butchering my two biggest MOCs (Ix and the Overlord)

I hope to make him look small without the wings, frail even…but once the robes are lifted he shouls feel twice as large.

Here’s what I got so far; sorry if lighting isn’t good, it’s getting dark.

Torso itself still needs filling out, but here’s what I got. The weapon, most likely a prototype, is meant to have a representative of the other six elements, with the obvious lack of Light.

And I figured this version would have captured the Golden Unity masks of the Toa, and is able to wield one specifically at any given time.

can you post another photo of it without the weapon and at a slightly above angle?

That any better?

you need to raise the shoulders by a lot.

this is what I see.

orange = skeleton

brown = armor

Red = things I’m going to mention later

the shoulder armor looks really off, and the neck looks really long, because of how low the shoulders sit.

also, the hips should not be that open, nor should they have open axles on the ends.

also, the shins are gappy as well, in a design that really, REALLY is not appealing.

oh yeah looks great! Are you planning on adding any armor to the upper arms?

I’m trying to figure out a way to do so without it looking too high.

Bohrok eyes? They always work…
