Because I have a really similar Moc in terms of build (The Overlord) and thanks to his dull legs he is hard to pose around into more interesting poses.
You could use U joints to connect the two gearboxes. I’m not sure if it would work, as there’s no pictures of the gears.

You will also want to make shoulder-pads to cover up the insanely awkward shoulder connection that there will be.

I think it works fine…it’s odd to me seeing a Makuta without MoCo tho.

What’s the angle? Because if it’s 90 degrees I’d suggest usng two U joints.
when someone says to me “makuta” i think of the species, not teridax or makuta from G2,so in that case every mask can match the term of makuta
