"Makuta Building Contest" W.I.P.s and Finished Creations Topic

The hips are gappy

That skull mask is a part of a “necklace” of sorts. And those are the back arms, the front arms’ll be longer.

i’m going to fix that at some point

I’m inclined to leave the contest…I will focus on MoCing my own characters now that bionicle has ended, perhaps making a whole new thing.

Well, now that is all over, I shall try my best to win the contest, those set will help a lot making mocs

A quote from the website:
Next up is the #BIONICLEbuildmakuta Rebrick Contest, starting August 1st

So the contest starts on august. When does it ends?

So I finished my second attempt of building Makuta.
(Will post pics later.)
I’m actually pretty proud of it.

I’ve been working on it a little more these past couple of days. The leg design, should be final, unless I find a design I’m more satisfied with, and the torso is almost done. I need to cover it up at the top a small bit, if you look in the photos, but it is really solid for the most part. I was going to go a bit simple with the arms, and use the large beast feet for hands, with some skull spider claws. I wanted to use a cane for the primary, kind of like Torchwick from RWBY, and some addition weaponry in the ball jointed areas.

You can see more photos in this Flickr Album. Any constructive criticism, tips, and/or advice is appreciated.

I must encourage everyone here to tell every Bionicle fan they can to enter this contest.

Cant believe they announce a makuta competition and show off a potential makuta set and then cancel bionicle! Brings a tear to my eye

I know but, now the grand prize makes sense. But, we’re missing so many new things like the printed shield piece, the cloth peices, and the Mask of Ultimate Power.

Made this one today, I’ll probably edit it a little bit.

Just sort of spent the last three days scrapping this together. I’m not too sure about the proportions/color blocking/or build (particularly the legs) in general. Any critiques would be more than welcome. (More photos Makuta Contest Stuff | Flickr)

fantastic! the arms look a bit short, and the torso is strange, but it’s awesome!

Probably should have used a more relaxed pose, I’ve added a link to my post with more photos.

I’m not sure what changes I’ll be making to my large moc of Makuta, but I am also trying to make a moc that looks his original form in the JtO series. I just wish I had all the right colored pieces, but I’ll make due, somehow.

The torso of my Makuta MOC is currently the height of Master Tahu. No joke.
