Makuta Krika - Ghost of the Swamp

My take on revamping Makuta Krika from Bionicle Mistika. The design focused on creating something similar yet different from the body plan of his form, based primarily on Skeleton. The overall size wasn’t too different from the original, only the elongated limbs and additional tail make him a bit larger. I also use Xenomorph and a certain Makuta Phantoka concept (https://youtu.be/-J3I2cNM6kU?si=1KUL8Cq1ioXzOG5A) as part of the inspiration.

I also replaced the blaster from the original product and added the railgun gimmick that folds out from his chest

I still have difficulty finding a good lighting setting from Stud.io since adding more light makes the milky white parts brighter than they should be and reducing the light makes other white parts darkened.

This is amazing. You have completely improved on the original design.

When I saw the first images here, I thought this MOC looked a bit messy. However, now that I’ve seen all the extra details and features, the whole design makes a lot more sense.

For starters, the wings are very cool. They look awesome, yet are almost unnoticeable in the “base form”.

The railgun is also an interesting choice; it doesn’t really match the official set, but it’s such a cool idea that the inaccuracy is worth it. Just as with the wings, the fact that is fits so cleanly into the “base form” is awesome; the rails look like normal spines that Krika might have on his back.

Do you have any full-body pictures of the railgun in firing mode? The only “deployed” image here is a closeup with Krika’s head backwards, so I can’t really get the full vision of how awesome it looks.

Finally, the overall spindlyness is great.

Thank you so much, I intentionally made the wings and the railgun to be able to blend as a surprise feature while maintaining Krika’s original silhouette.

Due to limitations on the elevation angle of the railgun, it is commonly used during aerial combat which Krika can use to shoot the ground targets.

With some good positioning, the railgun can also be used in ground combat or when restraining the target.
