Makuta, Master of Shadow [Makuta Rebrick Entry]

So this my entry into the Makuta Rebrick competition! This is the second version of this MOC. After I entered the first version I felt like I hadn’t quite finished it. I also got a bit of feedback. So I made some improvements and created a pet for him, called Nigmus. I really enjoyed making this and I am very happy with it! I’d love to know what you think of it! Good luck to everyone else entering!

The entry page has more images but this is the main one:

I love the flow of the trans purple throughout the body.

I love the hulking brute vibe.

This looks amazing!

I love how you made a MOC that size flow so well!

Fantastic use of the Mask of Creation for his head. I also love just how out of control and bestial he looks, really makes him all the more menacing.

Love those legs, they really fit the whole moc!

I honestly don’t have any complaints, this thing is just fantastic! Nice job on making it flow together so well.

I really like the pet, but personally I feel that while this is an amazing build, it doesn’t really feel like Makuta. But again, really amazing build.

i like the neat lil’ MoCr hellhound.

These boards have really desensitized me to Makuta mocs since there are so many of them, but this is REALLY good looking. I usually don’t bat an eye at this point when I see another Makuta, but I almost said “Oh, wow!” to myself before I realized there are other people home. :stuck_out_tongue:

Good job!

That’s awesome. I especially like how he has a pet. I’ve never actually imagined Makuta having a pet before, although I guess he did have that energy hound once…
Great job!

Needless to say… he looks very impressive. In my personal opinion however the bulky appearance does not really fit him… at least not this bulky. It makes him look like one that realies solely on pure force and strength and not like a villain that it able to outsmart his opponents.

But he still looks quite evil.

Man! He looks like he can jump though buildings and tear toas apart. Awesome

Love that head and the little pet is pretty cool as well. It does seem kind of jumbled though, especially in the arms and the hunchback. Otherwise pretty cool.

Though I wonder about its degree of poseability, the colors are blended in a very fanciful way that is shockingly original. Excellent job, dude.

Oh man.

A huge black gold and purple MOC.

Moooving ooonnnnnnn

Nah, the MOC is okay I guess. But it looks like the same thing I’ve seen so many times already for this contest.

I like the shaping, but it feels really cluttered. Not a bad MOC by any means, though. I especially like his little pet. I had a double-take and thoughr I saw a Spinax head, when it was really the MoCo. :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s a very cleaver use of the mask of control for the creature’s head.

Except this one is one the most masterfully layered and sculpted i’ve seen so far :ok_hand:

I personally heavily disagree but alright :stuck_out_tongue:
