Many believe that Makuta was turned to his current form by his greed and jealousy mixed with the power of the Mask of Ultimate Power, and they would be right…to an extent.
(I’ll get better pictures later today, hopefully I remember)
Makuta took this form upon his recent return to Okoto, the return attributed to the Dimensional Chain he wears on his torso, which pulls him partially into this realm. Along with him is the spirit which resides in the Mask of Ultimate Power, which was formed by Makuta’s greed and jealousy forming and leaking into the mask as he forged it. This spirit, known as Manopae, has possessed and corrupted Makuta, and has been influencing his decisions since he first dawned the mask.
The power of the MoUP has also corrupted his physical form,
Giving him the slightest power over the elements.
He wields two powerful weapons in this form.
The Staff of Absorption
This staff, when equipped with a mask, allows the user to wield the powers of the mask.
A Battle Axe
It’s really just a battle axe. He uses it when his other powers and his minions aren’t enough.
With this new form and the influence of Manopae, Makuta shall once again attempt to take over Okoto.
Now that the backstory thing is over, to talk about the Moc itself. Yeah, it’s Makuta. He’s the one I wish I put into the contest instead of the monstrosity that I did, but oh well, I’ll have to live with it. The idea was to take the old one, and condense it into the approximate size of a Toa, and I think I did a good job. Manopae was an addition I thought would give him some more character when compared to other Makuta Mocs. Here is how they’re connected.
It isn’t the most stable connection, but it gets the job done for display.
So, here are some more pictures.
First is Manopae (fun fact, his name is the Maori words for ultimate power, mana hopea, put together.) when he’s apart from Makuta.
Now is the back view of the two together, and of Makuta himself.
Comments and Criticism are greatly appreciated.
