Maqué the Technician

Hey what do you know, I updated my Vanity ripoff bat girl, Maqué

I think it’s safe to say she doesn’t look like Vanity anymore.

Maqué (Mack-eh) Is just your average bat, trying to make a living. Skilled in her craft, her petite stature is an advantage for her while working on her machines.

“Je suis terriblement fatiguée.”

Maqué is never seen without her backpack and toolbox, and often finds her work clothes stained with oils and metal. She currently works for Endeavor, aiding him by crafting and repairing advanced weaponry.

She also has this weird magnifying glass thing she uses when working on smaller projects. she can flip it over her head like a visor.

Maqué also built herself a sniper rifle, since she’s not very good at hand-to-hand combat, she can at least defend herself from afar.

In her down time, She likes to get cozy and read

Tyrigsus" Hey, hey whatcha readin’?"

But wait? What’s a bat without wings? Well don’t worry, she’s prepared to fly at any time.

Maqué was fun to work on, some might argue that she’s “too simple” but honestly sometimes it’s nice to build something simple, that isnt over the top large or overly custom. Because of her simplicity, I can put her in a lot of fun poses and in general her playability levels are through the roof compared to my other builds. So I’m quite satisfied with my lil’ bat :3

This is a nice MOC.

I’m still not a fan of those feet

The color scheme is nice, but more white would help.

This moc has spunk, and personality. Humanoid Mocs are typically a dime a dozen, but this one stands out from the crowd.

She’s pretty neat. 100% agree that a healthy dose of simplicity can sometimes be a breath of fresh air, both for the creator and the viewers.

I’m glad you think so! I think it’s important that characters look unique in the sense that they have a personality. :3

Wow that purple background.

After re-orienting my vision, I really appreciate the unique design. I also think the background makes it pop more.

Hmm… Thinking on it, some white would look nice. Maybe for a future update?[quote=“LurkingEhlek, post:8, topic:24254, full:true”]

Thank you! I was hoping the background wouldn’t be too overkill, so I’m glad it makes her pop a little more. Better than boring old white.

It needs feet.

Heck, the Ben 10 feet would look pretty good.

I like it but there are some minor issues that really stick out to me, like the feet, lack of yellowish-green on the front of her, and the torso build (not a fan of it IMO), but the sniper, head, and simplicity really make this MOC very good.

Overall, 9/10

A few minor problems, but still really good.

Keep it up!

Na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na
BATMAAAAN.

Smooth build, nicely done. Gorgeous wings to help complement that fact. (Seriously, where did you get those?) Nice character description that makes the MOC itself feel actually relatable , and not another generic being.

That would be cool, If I owned ben10 anything.

I agree with the yellow-green, When I was building her I thought the same thing, but im unsure how to really add more to the front.
Thanks!

The wings come from the Ninjago Morro Dragon set! (i believe its still on clearance in walmart???) thank you!

her work clothes stained with oils and metal.

You can stain clothes with metal?

Yes actually, to quote my friend Tyrigsus: “THERE’S THIS NICE THING CALLED STEEL DUST, METAL FLAKING, AND MOISTURE APPEARANCE WHEN CARBON STEEL HITS AROUND 300 DEGREES.”

and that can in fact, stain clothes.

Huh, interesting (I was thinking that it would be like having metal chunks/fragments torn/ripping into the clothes. Very painful )

Also, I just want to comment that I feel having heels like those on this MOC would possibly interfere with being a mechanic?

I feel that work boots would be more fitting.

That would be true, yes. But I think shes more self conscious about her height (or lack thereof) then she is worried about comfort

She looks really tall from those photos.

Perhaps claws would be more fitting for a bat.
