Mask of Intangibility vs Miru

Just a quick question why would someone choose the Miru over Mask of Intangiblity because the latter also allows you to float right (in addition to intangibility)?

The ability for intangibility to cause floating is more about explaining why the user doesn’t also fall through the floor/ground. So any of its levitation abilities, or even flight, would be less than the Miru. At least in theory. If it could, I’d imagine it’s slower or not as optimal of a choice over the Miru or Kadin for that ability. So if you’re choosing the Mask of Intangibility, it’s more that you’re concerned with phasing through solid matter than trying to float or fly with it.

A similar comparison would be something like the Volitak against the Huna and Shelek. While the Volitak doesn’t hide the user as well as the Huna, nor create silence like the Shelek, it can do both to a weaker degree. It’s useful if you need to somewhat hidden and quiet rather than perfectly invisible or perfect quiet.

I always saw it as you just dont go down anymore. So if you are falling and you activate the mask of intangibility it gets the same effect as hitting the ground.

What if you need to carry something (or someone) while floating?

Not possible. It will pass through you. It wont be made intangible with you.

… which is why you’d choose a Miru over Intangibility.

For falling yes. But for other cases (in fights, while spy missions etc.) the moi is better. (You make no noises while walking)
