His mask was black? It looked more like dark grey to me…

It would look even stranger with dark grey.

Ahkmou’s mask is super dark grey, and no Lego color matches that.

I might see what it looks like with slightly lighter shades but it would need to be painted either way.

Pretty noice, but I probably would of used black primer, instead of glossy paint.

I like the gloss, makes it look newer.

Slightly relevant, the only difference colouration-wise between G1 and G2 parts is that G2 parts are shinier.
