Mausoleum of Good Feelings: A collection of horrific Ghids

INTRODUCING THE GHIDAM!

I wonder if @Ghid will ever see my creation…

So I have finally done something new for once

The Ghid mii is my greatest creation

Unfortunately most of the Boards won’t see the vast majority of content from my island as I’m only temporarily borrowing the game (I am a cheap chiseler) and the subject matter, while not necessarily inappropriate for the Boards, is very much in line with my scuffed sense of humor and probably won’t vibe well with others

But I can confidently say I will never top this :pensive:

How did you export screenshots from the game? I’ve got a lot of Ninjago/Zelda characters on my island (plus Lewa), and I would love to know how to obtain various humorous moments for my later perusing outside the Switch 2 screenshot album.

I took out the micro SD card and put it into my computer :man_shrugging:

You can capture screenshots by pressing the capture button. I’ve also got lots of video clips by holding the capture button but TTV doesn’t allow .mp4 uploads :pensive:

I’ve seen so many reasons to try out this game. Ghid mii is totally a valid excuse to drop $59.99 USD I’m sure.

Maybe I’ll use the money I allot for games to buy Tomodachi Life this time.

I will warn you, if you’ve played and like the original game the charm it had just isn’t there with this one.

It seems like Nintendo decided to farm the Funny Moments gameplay above all else and while there is a lot of room for hilarity and making jokes about politically incorrect topics, there’s also nothing beyond that. Everything unique and charming about the first is recycled very cheaply here; if the original had a mod that added the face paint and facial feature removal tools this one has, you’d get essentially the same experience.

Except the original also has actual kids growing up in it. Here it’s literally just a cutscene.

Noted. If I had friends I’m sure we’d get a laugh out of the funny moments. Still, I’ve been needing a break from Minecraft and War Thunder.

In other news, I can’t believe I’ve had this thing for around 2 years but never posted it here.

Made out of a Hampton Inn cup, some felt, a Clorox-sponsored Padres baseball squishy toy, a sewing pin, red marker, hot glue, staples, and lots of “love”

I don’t know what that’s like :pensive:

Ghid fanart, Ghid plushies, Ghid voodoo dolls, and now the Ghid-on-a-budget craft supply store homunculus

I love it :face_holding_back_tears:

I’ve never played the original, but I would heartily disagree. While the repetitive conversations are annoying, it’s quite fun to make the Miis and develop their relationships. It’s a quite addicting game, especially because of the ever-changing daily shops, but, since I find that fun, I won’t hold that against the game. Plus, I don’t think the original could be as good for replicating people or characters, since it’s straight-up impossible to make certain individuals–Cole and Geo from Ninjago having a mutual crush (as is more than likely true in the show) would be impossible in the original, for instance. And, a lot of the time, those “Funny Moments” are quite funny. I mean, the characters on my island have a Greg Farshtey fan club! So, @Minethuselah, I would definitely recommend it.

Perhaps this conversation would be better had in a devoted Tomodachi Life topic, though.

I mean, I thought it was pretty clear that I knew that given that I mentioned the Switch 2 screenshot album in my reply…

Seeing as you never played the original, it does make disagreeing that the same charm isn’t there kinda moot

Yes, but it’s shallow. The original had far less going on, but its execution was far more genuine. Here it feels very cheap and empty, and the actual meat of the game is much slimmer. Sure, certain things can be done that couldn’t in the original, but so much was lost that I definitely feel this iteration of the concept is the decidedly inferior version.

But then again, the modern era is more about chasing cheap thrills than ever, so I’m not surprised the game is popular. I just wished it was Tomodachi Life 2 instead of Tomodachi Collection 1.1.

The button is actually opaque :index_pointing_up:

“Plenty of charm” and “the same charm” are actually two different things. Having played the original probably too much, I can with confidence say what made that game special is not in its sequel.

It may be to your benefit to watch some gameplay of the original

Then… Okay? Don’t talk about it. :imp:

You’re not required to participate in any conversation or any topic. If you don’t want to look into it, don’t. But don’t assert that I’m wrong just because you don’t know and don’t care to find out.

For anyone wanting to discuss the game further, I didn’t think there was a topic for the game already existing, but lo and behold there is. It’s also over a decade old and I don’t like to think about that :old_man:

For the new game, I think a new topic is probably in order, if only because I’m sure that most users would likely miss a revival of that topic.

I can’t believe you had this beast stalking you for two years without any of us Ghid professionals knowing. You have to confess to the cult now.

I confess that it’s been posted in the HSH before.
