After weeks of buying parts… Finally completed some MOC projects that I’ve been designing on Studio. Designing virtually has a very different vibe than building with real parts and I really enjoy both parts. There are issues in either way. For Makuta Tridax, because Studio does not have the tridax pod rib cage part so I did a custom one with claws. This added uniqueness to Tridax’s torso as he was responsible for the invention of the tridax pod. Also, the color combination of dark red and dark purple plus pearl gold armor to fit the Olmak color seems to be harmonic in both Studio and real life.
Makuta Tridax’s acid spear. It’s pretty lucky that lego has translucent purple hoses and red blades to fit Tridax’s color scheme.
Tridax’s sharp blade.
I’ve also designed his sharp toes to be sort of squeezed together as many villain’s spikes are bounded together irregularly. Four pieces of wings have individual articulations so they can open to a certain degree. The biggest problem in real life is the weight of the upper body. It can stand by itself but the balance need a bit of work. Perhaps I should make some piston-like structures in Brutaka’s legs.
