i desited to post all of the models you can build from the Legends of Chima book: “The Quest for Chi” but i will not post the instructions, because, if you want instructions, then you could just buy the book, and really, when the LEGO community can manadge to build the JtO Makuta with little to no instructions exept a few photos of the figure, then these figures would be a peice of cake to build.
and here is the models as they all appeare in each chapter:
Temple Trouble
Jungle Ambush
Secret Hideout
Swamp Surprise
Bulldozer Attack
All or Nothing
now when i read this book, i started to think back to those old Alternate model comics that used to be near the end of the instruction books of old LEGO sets.
Like the one i remember the most, which was also the only one i owned that had one of those comics, the LEGO X-Wing set from 1999:
Note, none of the X-Wing images are from me, but from montyofmusic’s review of the set, which you can find here.
i love these comics, and its something i would wish LEGO still did today
there is something about them that is just nice to see. This brings me to the other thing i wish to say, namely that i would like to see people try to do what these old sets did, take appart any of the LEGO sets you own, from… lets just go by an example and say, ither Ninjago, Legends of Chima or Nexo Knights.
its just interesting to see what the imagination can build from just one set. Take General Magmar’s Siege Machine of Doom for example:
how many alternate models can you build from this set alone?
and its not just from those three themes, take any set from any LEGO theme and give it a try.
