A few days ago the BIO-Tuber Chiberus was asking for canon rahi that he could make mutated revamps of and I suggested the daunting task of the acid fly. To prove that I am not a coward, here’s my modest attempt at this daring endeavor.
This does an incredible job of matching the G1 Rahi aesthetic. The use of (mostly) early G1 parts helps, but the inclusion of the turbines is easily my favourite part.
It also matches the shape of the original build really well; it definitely looks like an “upgraded” version. (Though I will say that I had always seen that unofficial 3-piece build as facing the other way around)
What if mosquito, but harrier jet?
I also really like the turbines. Gives it a little of that 2001 Rahi vibe.
Nivawk-eyed readers who have looked at my past MOCs might notice that this acid fly was created using what was originally supposed to be a pair of hips for something else, before I rejected that design for being awful and used a Vahki hip instead.
