My first Dark Hunter

When I get the final piece (mouth plate), I will have my first Dark Hunter: Minion!

Standing at a whopping 51cm (about 21in) and two gear functions. He is the biggest in terms of size and piece count of any Bionicle as of the Artakha contest.

For anyone who says he can’t pose, he can, though it’s tough…

A quick size comparison.
Funny thing, he actually feels about the same weight as Artahka…

If you want to build Minion I updated the instructions for him here: Minion Instructions by TLROsborne on DeviantArt

Wow this is great to see Minon finally rebuilt and since you’re doing the It’s Canon reviews will this be reviewed soon?

Not yet, I have plans for the dark hunters.
Just though it’d be funny to show him.
Plus I have a some rahi I’m getting ready for.

I think I might have a moc that’s at least as big. I’m gonna post it this weekend, probably tomorrow

Thank you so much for this

if there’s any way you could get more pictures like back and side that would be a godsend

Some of the DH’s get bashed by the fans, but honestly, Minion was pretty impressive given that he was made entirely with 01-05 parts.

Congrats on building him! I bet @toaskello would love to know his exact height for his height comparison chart…

(I’ve always wondered whether in-universe, this guy is roughly Toa or Titan height, or if he really is that huge. Either makes sense with his backstory. I kind of like the idea that he’s a giant.)

@Ghid Here you go, he cleans up pretty nicely and his proportions are great. (He barely fits in my workspace)

@Toa-of-Snow
He’s really impressive, and just when you think it’s almost done, something left field is thrown in, it’s kinda nice.
Personally I like to think he is this big, makes it even funnier when Kopaka freezes him solid. A giant Minion-cicle

The fact that it’s so big while staying fairly cohesive is quite impressive.

Is this the tallest bionicle canon model? Also how’s his stability?

Just standing there, good, I have fairly tight joints on him with nothing extra, and I’m actually pretty impressed how well it holds up.

Posing is quite difficult though.

It is the biggest, Kardas got nothing on this guy. See the link in this post

How well does the gear function work?

It’s a small titan attached to a metru gearbox. A lot of weight on a few small parts. Momentum helps when using it.
But is does have a locking feature, so that’s a plus.
