So the thing about the Skybound wave was that it was genuinely impossible(without getting dupe sets) to get all six of the Skybound Ninja in the show’s “vanilla” configuration of the outfit
That being with cowl and armor.
However, leave it to the Summer Wave to save the day.
From the Winter Wave, though, I ended up picking:
This provides me with Jay and Zane already complete. Which is a solid start. The Dragons are also good to have because hey, you can never have enough Dragons

But anyway, the Summer Wave stuff I’ll be picking up is as follows
This set is basically the Dojo Showdown of 2016. And I am totally okay with that.
Can’t have enough Mechs.
Gotta keep up that Dragon collection.
Echo Zane and Nadakhan are a must for me. Plus this set brings back good memories of The Last Voyage.
So with these sets, I’ll have the two missing Ninja from my set(Kai and Nya) fully decked out
and I’ll have a spare armored Nya, and a spare armored Jay, the likes of which I can use to armor the Cole and Lloyd I already own
You’ve got quite a good taste in Ninjago sets. I have the exact same sets from wave 1 of Skybound .
I was also wondering how I could get all the Ninjas in their Skybound outfits, but I’m not really intrigued to buy the Kryptarium Prison so I’ve still gotta find a way to get Kai (not planning on getting Misfortune’s Keep or Ninja Bike Chase either)…
Oh and by the way: I already bought The Lighthouse and Echo Zane has become my favourite minifigure. He is very detailed and the best Steampunk-like minifigure to date.
Well I think we can agree that the build is really lacking, but as you said it is mostly about the figures (which I like, I’m all for minifig centered sets).
But sadly I kind of stopped watching the Ninjago show since I didn’t have the time and have just seen some episodes of the new seasons, so Captain Soto isn’t really anything special to me. Also I will probably get Zane’s Tumbler to expand my army of Nindroids so I will get Zane’s hair in silver in that set. However I do really like the silver Stone Warrior and would like to get Kai in his Skybound outfit.
I actually think this set is really good, just not for me.

true, I love that Ninjago has been running for so long that there even is the possibility of such throwbacks.
Lego been doing that awhile ago (around 2012 or something) and whats interesting is even though some the set say “LIMITED EDITION”, only a few are actual contain an exclusive mini-figure…
