Ninjago Collectible/Artifact Display: Heroes p1

A week has passed, and I nearly forgot to post this.

The first of the “hero” sections:

And the base structure:

This display features the main collectibles from seasons 2 and 3, as well as the Fusion Blade from season 7.

This has probably the most changes in pure numbers, but they aren’t quite unique.
First the Elemental Blades have had the old telescope and t-holders replaced by the new-ish dragon handles, and here is an old v new comparison:

The only way to improve them imo is if Lego made the dragon handles with the bar connection coming out of the mouth. Sidenote, I made sure to display them as close to the show as I can, with the way the blades and handles are pointing relative to each other.

Next Cole’s Technoblade, I added a bar with a pole connection to hold the blade onto the handle

The direction it is facing actually does have some importance, as for whatever reason this configuration holds up against gravity better. Also when you have it apart, it lets Cole properly hold it in both hands. To have it completely show accurate however, one would have to remove the chain, as it gets retracted inside the weapon.

And finally, the Fusion Blade, I switched the gold lightsaber handle for the newer Monkey Kid staff handle

So that Kai and Nya can hold it together like they did in the show.

To hold the elemental blades, I could've used the build from the Temple of Light as a call back, though I found it a touch clunky, and I'm not sure it could accomodate the dragon heads that jut so far behind the grip and I forgot about it until much later. So here is what I built:

Though I when displaying the blades, I do position them as they appear in the Temple of Light.

In closing, I like how I was able to arrange all the Technoblades to mirror each other's positions, despite the difference in handles. Though it does is the first to not be as detailed a build for the display structure, as I am more focused on making them all within reasonable sizes, and making multiple displays, not just the one central one. This also sets the standard of following the temple-like build from the central display, something that may wear off in novelty, but I feel gives cohesion to all the displays. It is certainly one of the taller and wider displays I have, and certainly the most packed.

I will see you all later with the second of the hero displays.

Ooh this looks pretty good, I like the amount of thought put into the display. Can’t wait to see the next one!

nuuuuu the technoblades need to be by themselves!!!

In all serious though, this is really good! I can’t imagine the hassle it will be to get all of the collectables though…

Luckily, I have been following ninjago from 2011, so I already had a majority before starting this endeavor
