And yeah it was really important to me that I didn’t make this style a carbon copy of Samurai Jack.
Speaking of, I even made a drawing of Jack himself, just to showcase how much I ended up deviating from the source material when I was developing this style
Bada bing bada boom I don’t even know man, does anyone use the topic resurrection rhyme anymore
I said that I was going to use this topic to post all the art I make, but I kind of never did, whoops. Anyways, I have a drawing to share, I like how this one turned out and I think it even deserves a separate post just for it
I was inspired to draw it by my vacation at the sea that I am currently on (even though where I’m at isn’t nearly as much of a tropical paradise as this, I ain’t got enough funds for that stuff), and summer vibes overall. It features two characters from the Boards RP Tales of Glory and Valour: the Seafarers, Ari and Dolphus (the setting and time period in the drawing are of course not accurate whatsoever because fan art and stuff, you know how it goes). I wrote more about this RP and these characters in my previous art dump in this topic, so check it out if you’re curious
The main reason why I drew this was to test out a new drawing program that I acquired recently: Clip Studio Paint. I’m really satisfied with it based on my experience so far, so I’m probably going to primarily switch to it from now on
Feedback is of course appreciated as always! I have a lot more art to share, so I’ll try to post more stuff in this topic from now on
Dude, this is sick. The level of detail in this is incredible, even though most of it is loose squiggles. The perspective on the horizon mimicking a fisheye lens is fantastic, the water is excellently done, and I can’t comment on the drawing without pointing out the best part:
Keep the art coming, man! If it’s all as impressive as this the rest of us starved artists on the Boards will be eating well
Wait what is Zenn’s prayer beads made of? Is it made with the same material similar to the stones in the fruits of the Elaeocarpus Ganitrus tree? I ask because I’ve seen sages and monks in India wear beads made of the same kind of Rudraksha beads.
Nowadays I tend to switch between two depending on the complexity of the drawing I’m making
I use Procreate for simpler drawings, as it’s a more bare bones, streamlined program, and Clip Studio Paint for more complex stuff like the last drawing I posted in this, because it’s got a lot of really neat functionality that makes tackling big projects more convenient if you know what you’re doing
