The mask was a neon orange KO, handpainted to look like dual molding. Color match is excellent. The inside of the mask was also painted, completing the illusion. A satin coat was applied to keep the paint from chipping.
I like the Avohkiis as hands, combined with the color scheme he reminds me of the original Makuta Teridax set. Nice to see there’s still the action play feature too!
I think the Shatter Beast is a bit more out there than its brethren, existing in the same vein as the goofy Quake Beast in terms of embodying a power and ability that is incredibly undefined and hard to explain. Does shattering mean fragmentation, like the Rahkshi power? But then again, does quaking mean actually moving tectonic plates across the planet to cause localized disturbances?
Regardless, the paint application on the bootleg mask is once again fantastic. Nice to see the three of them standing together as the fan counterpart to the original three sets, which are somehow already a decade old at this point.
I’m going to second @Minethuselah–the Avohkii hands are great! I love how the textures flow across the body, never being too rough or too smooth. Amazing job!
Yeah I was thinking the power would be like the shattering Makuta power, I imagine the beasts as being rather chaotic, a blend of two powers with an additional side-effect power. The over-poweredness is balanced out by them being relatively fragile and prone to destroying themselves. Complete glass cannons.
