Blaze tries to get Erebos’s voice out of his head, “Why? Why would I do that? So you can rip it off of my face?” Blaze focuses as best he can on pushing Erebos out.
“Please, you’re just a child, you think you can muscle in on my domain? Have you even had a short moment of introspection within the few seconds of enternity that you’ve existed on this spinning sphere?” Erebos taunted, lifting Blaze up into the air with greater force than before.
Tarkur continues to load his bow up
“Have you?” Blaze asked, “or are you so confident in yourself that you think you’re on the same level as the divine?” He tried to keep pushing Erebos out as he also tries to anchor himself to the ground using his swords.
“I am with the mask,” He taunted, before Tarkur felt a strong punch to the jaw from an unseen adversary.
Blaze smiles, “Or it would reject you.” He said, “The elements themselves have a will of their own and not even you can bend such a force to your will.”
“The possibility of failure is something that is ever present, ever lurking in the shadows. Even the best-laid and most perfect of plans can fail.”
“I beleive in the strength and will they possess. As long as you’re a slave to fate, you’ll never defeat me.” He snarled as Blaze felt a boot on his back.
Blaze grimaced, “Who said I was blindly following fate?” He asks, trying to equip his fire mask.
“I am just saying that fate or not, failure is always a factor.” He says, “Or do you think you’re above that?”
We forge our own destiny, weave our own fate. he thought, And my design is to defy you and all who seek to destroy this place.
“I think you’ve greatly underestimated me, boy.”
“Oh, no,” Blaze says as he switches masks and tries to heat up Erebos’s armor, especially around his face, “You underestimate me, old man.”
OOC: do I try to do a dirty trick?
OOC: I don’t see why not
IC:
“The thing about masks is that you never quite forget how to use one you’ve bonded to. Sure you might be a little rusty at the start, but it always starts coming back to you soon enough.”
Blaze heats up his sword and tries to jam it between Erebos’s legs.
OOC: You asked for it.
“Tsk, tsk, tsk, I’m in your mind, you don’t think I wouldn’t have seen that coming?” Erebos sneered, using his telekinesis to pull the sword into the air,“Since you’re a little slow on the uptake, why don’t I just show you just how bad the hornets nest you just kicked was”
Blaze put all his focus on trying to get Erebos out of his head, every last iota of will he could muster into pushing him out.
Suddenly, all the illusions vanished, parts of the landscape, the shrine, and even the mask that Blaze had fought melted away into ice, with Erebros looming over him, arms crossed, and the mask on his face…
Blaze, trying to keep Erebos out, stands up, “I see you.”
“You see what I allow you to.”
“No,” Blaze says defiantly, pushing back against Erebos’s mind as hard as he could, “I see through you.”
“No Blaze, I see through, you. You’re a mess, an acolyte of Ekimu in the grabs of Makuta? You’re the punchline to a bad joke.”
“Well, good thing I love jokes.” Blaze said as, while trying to keep him out of his head, he tries to heat up the metal around Erebos’s face using his mask power, if it had any.
“I see a man who respects power. A guy who is on a power trip and thinks all the problems in eternity can be solved by will and masks alone.” He says.
