Risa shrugs. “Hey, it looks spooky. Should be a fun camping trip.” She bounces up and down like a child opening a present.
“Okay, first order of business: shush.” She holds a finger up to her mask. An impatient disdain crosses her face as she waits for the two to quiet down, crossing her arms and glancing down at her palm as if looking at an open sundial. Once she’s confident the two have stopped squabbling, she makes a shooing motion, gesturing towards the other end of the cave for the two guards to lead on.
OOC: Obsidian has said that he isn’t really able to come back at the moment, so I guess I’ll pick up this conversation?
IC: Jaspar nods. “Yeah, we were all the way up north and a huge wave of them swept over the village. My friend and I ran off after Ilza, since we were talking to her at the time. I might have to go back and check on the village at some point…”
Dax places a hand on Blaze’s shoulder. The motion is firm, maybe even grounding. The old guard’s face is stoic, as if chiseled from the rock of his home. Dax can feel his eyes beginning to burn, though, tears stinging at the corners and threatening to break free. When he tries to speak the words choke in his throat, and he wrestles down a sob. A deep breath in… and a deep breath out again. He clears his throat.
“Goodbye, Ekimu. You were the last remains of a better time.” He trails off, taking another deep breath. “May the elements receive you with grace, and may your memory inspire us all.”
