Okotan Adventures: Spider Saga

Traykar sniffed the ground, making sure to not lose the scent and he continued forwards.

@BlackBeltGamer98 “It’s OK.” Rena said.

@Tarkur “No.”

“Ok…” she replies, “…What did the Gucko say to the Muaka?” She says cheerfully.

“I don’t know.”

“MJAUaka.” She states happily before letting out a small chuckle.

Athena continues walking inexpresively.
“…and?”

Streke, unable to contain a laugh, snorts. Era and Athena would probably be able to hear it.

Dakron moved behind Blaze, assuming he was going to open the door.

@meepinater @Toa_Vladin “It was a… you know what forget it.” she annoyingly replied, She heard the snorting and laughing and started to look around.

If Jevis was up-to-date on his knowledge (or really had visited the Region of Jungle at all within the past few years), he would know that a good place to start would be the city of Karios. It was a bit smaller than the Region’s capitol, and located on a ridge half a day’s travel to the southwest. It was Vizuna’s first home, and often friends there would know of his whereabouts.

Ekimu nods in agreement with Hitora. “I know you have slept for longer than we can fathom, so I shall keep this brief: Okoto no longer suffers ‘Lords’. The Region of Jungle is no longer yours to command. If you accept this, we may yet coexist in peace. Otherwise, well… I imagine your brother would enjoy the company.” He softens the point with a shrug.

“Oh,” the young Okotan says, his face falling. “I… I’m sorry.”

“Wait, so maybe this does have to do with Vizuna!” the other one says, his attention suddenly snapping back to Vra’axinni. “And you said you’re going after her? You’re going to fight her?” There’s a dangerous light in his eyes.

The spider on the ground takes advantage of the opening, skittering for her neck. Meanwhile, the remaining spiders around her are starting to circle around. (@TheMOCingbird)

“Wait, have you heard this?” Athena said, preparing her bow and an arrow.

The Lord of the Skies looked hard at Ekimu. “It seems much has changed since my departure.” He almost snarled. “Stubborn Okotans seem to think they have the right to spit in the face of authority and question the power at hand. Don’t swing that hammer too proudly, little man, or you may club yourself.” He pointed a tendril of roots which was bunched up in the shape of a hand at Ekimu’s brilliant golden mask.

“Perhaps my people will be more receptive than you lot.” He groaned, his body making uncomfortable noises as he began to regrow his wings… Pretty slowly. “You might want to step back. This generates a lot of wind.”

Traykar slinked along the underbrush, careful to be quiet and stealthy as he tracked his prey.

@BlackBeltGamer98, @meepinater Rena opened the door to her garden, then the one to her house, and entered inside. Dakron could have probably heard the sounds of the doors opening.

@BlackBeltGamer98 Vladin politely waited for a response.

@meepinater, @Tarkur Athena put the arrow in her bow and prepared to shoot.
“Show yourself, and I might spare you!” she yelled.

Deep in the Region of Stone, in a small, almost abandoned village, the door of a simple stone house opened. A Jungle Okotoan got out of it. It might be a weird for somebody to see such an Okotoan in such a place, but it seems that the other Stone Villagers got used to seeing the Jungle one walking around from time to time.
The Okotoan was heavily damaged. His armour was filled with deep scars, wounds, and spots of old blood. There was one particularly on his head, being a sign of a former wound to the left side of his head. His right leg was fully covered in gypsum, making the Okotoan unable to move without a strong stick. The Okotoan’s upper arms were fully covered in bandages.
The Okotoan looked up at the big fireball in the sky. This was his only activity for the last few weeks. The village was so isolated, that every bit of outside information received was very outdated. A lot of the young Okotoans were leaving the village to find workplaces in bigger cities. As a result, most of the permanent residents of the village were old Okotoans.
The Jungle Okotoan sat down on a small wooden bench next to his house, looking in the distance at the endless sea of sand. His house was right at the end of the city, so he was even more isolated than the other residents.
And he liked the idea.

A vile, treacherous thought entered his head, causing the large animal to rise up and walk away from his hated foe, much planning would be required, but his new destination would hold the key to his glorious vengeance. He would head to the city of the mask makers.

Rena started packing up some things in her backpack.

He began his long trek from the region of Ice, it would take a few days for him to reach his destination, but he was determined and able to do so.

Hitora ran up and jumped, carrying his weight forwards with his strength, and whipped a full power punch towards the Lord of the Skies.

Vra’axinni nodded. “Thank you, but I still have contact with them. They may no longer be around in a physical sense, but they can still speak to me. Through this.” He taps his mask. “…Well, most of them.”

Traykar continued walking, occasionally stopping to thumb through his bag.

"Wonder why Blaze never told Rena about his siblings. Or maybe he did. Then I wonder why she didn’t tell me. Oh, well. I guess I never asked." Vladin quickly thought in his mind.

He continued fowards, trudging his way through the thick, chilly blanket of snow.
